Ghostly Black Lady in our boarding house confirmed
October 2, 2009
When I came to work in CDO, I rented a room in this boarding house and still live here until now; occupying the same room since December of 2007. I had heard many ghostly stories in this house from my fellow lady boarders. And gladly, I did not encounter once. The most frightening is the old black lady who used to appear to my lady boarders, an experience Ivy had relayed to me before and was confirmed by Jazzie, whom the black lady had appeared too in April of this year.
A week ago, while having a beer session at our house with my boardmates, Renzo surprisingly relayed a story of a man he met at the store located in front of our house, a store which happened to be owned by Ivy, my former boardmate. The old man was one of the carpenters, who built our boarding house. The drunken man had told him that an old lady had died in the house before it was bought by the present owner. That story somehow shed light on why the appearances of the mysterious old black lady in the house.
Two nights ago, we were cocooned in our sala (living room) talking anything under the sun while enjoying chicken adobo and beefsteak. Our conversations end-up to talking about horror stories. They asked me to share my experience yet I told them that it’s not appropriate now because it was already 10:00PM. They were, however, persistent to convince me to share the experiences of my fellow former boarders in the house. So, I told them about the black lady who used to appear in my former room which was experienced by two lady tenants and a mysterious whistle sound of a man who targeted my other two former lady housemates – a lady from Caraga and a pregnant woman.
As a result, Stanley, a big guy, and my fellow tenant, Leah, whose cousins were in Bukidnon that time, spent the whole night at my room with me.
I told Renzo about what transpired the other night since he was already sounding asleep when we had that conversation. Fortunately, Ivy was tending her store. I told Ivy what happened and had relayed to her the stories of other tenants after she left.
It was only last night that I knew what was really the reason for her transfer. They need a bigger space was the reason she had given us before. But the real hair-raising reason was because one time while she was inside her room she had seen a pair of floating feet in our sala passing her wide opened door. There was no body but feet only. This is the freaking reason she had decided to transfer, she confessed.
I thought that the black lady appearance to her happened only once. It happened many times, she revealed last night. As the appearances of this old black lady seem often already, she started to see her (the black lady’s) face clearly, and it gives more shivers to her body. She did not tell us all of these before because she don’t want us to think she was insane. But she did tell us once.
She did ask our neighbors if they knew something mysterious about the house. She learned, and I only knew last night, that the mother of Tessie, the owner of the adjacent house, died in this house. And she died in the room where I stayed first, the room adjacent to the room where I am staying now. And she died in the same bed where I had occupied and Ivy, the former tenant, had slept on.
I didn’t know these details up until last night.
The mystery of these all is the victims are always the lady tenants. I never heard any experiences of this kind from my fellow male tenants except the incident which Ivy had told us last night. Her male cousin had experience a bangongot (nightmare) where he was choked by a black lady. This is a different one for the experiences of Ivy and Jassie happened when they are totally awake.
UPDATE (6 October 2009)
Just this week Stanley had told us that he had seen a lady near his room, facing Renzo’s bedroom. It was 3:00 AM when he woke up and was thirsty. He decided to get water from the dispenser beside my bedroom. When he turn to go back to his room, he saw the back of the lady clad in gray color long dress. He tried to knock my door but I didn’t wake. Frigthened as he was, he decided to go outside the return only after ensuring that the ghostly lady was no longer insight.
That incident had Stanley sleeping at my bedroom again the following day. Of the five bedrooms, only two bedrooms are occupied by two and three tenants. When they are all around, they muster enough guts to stay in their room. Ivy, not the former tenants, shares with her brother Albert, also not the former tenant Albert. Leah shares with cousins Maricel and Haidee.
Yesterday, Stanley met his friend who is a paranormal and had told him about our situation. Last night, we, the tenants, agreed to ask this friend to visit our place and do some paranormal stuff. We decided to have it this weekend or Friday, when all of us are present in the house. The three cousins and siblings usually go home to Bukidnon every weekend.
