philippine 300

i was able to watch the movie 300 last year. i borrowed a dvd copy from a friend. the movie was great since it talked about the 300 fearless and patriotic men who fought for their land against the invasion of powerful and greedy foreigners. i admire their courage and love for their country.

the political rallies staged by political opposition against the administration today, which demands for the resignation of the president weighs less to the love of country the movie 300 reflected. political rallies are seemingly done to get rid of those in power and install somebody there from their flock. it is a continuous cold war with a selfish interest.

jose maria sison has called on people to convene, march on the street and demand for the ouster of the president in the palace. he even predicted that if 100,000 people will convene in the capital, military and police will have reason to withdraw support from the administration. 

wait a minute!

are these 100,000 people, who will supposedly convene in the capital, a duly representation of the millions of filipino people? who are they to decide in our behalf for the fate of our country?

i am for the truth and i strongly believe that we don’t need another people power to effect change in our government.  we have laid down already necessary instruments and processes after the two people power(s) we had have. we should let the wheel of justice run its course. we have convicted erap. we can surely convict gloria if we do have solid evidence.
